Remember Your Beggar’s Night Safety Tips:

  • Residents who want to provide treats for children should turn on their porch lights.
  • Children should go out in groups with adult supervision.
  • Inspect all treats before you eat them.
  • Homes displaying a Teal Pumpkin provide non-food treats for trick-or-treaters.
  • Wear non-flammable light-colored clothing. Fluorescent strips or patches are recommended.
  • Choose face paint and makeup whenever possible instead of masks, which can obstruct a child’s vision.
  • Put electronic devices down and keep heads up and walk, don’t run, across the street.
  • Have kids wear glow sticks or carry a flashlight.
  • Watch for cars.
  • Stay away from unfamiliar neighborhoods.

Drivers are encouraged to take special care during this time.
