The Farmer’s Market is held at Ankeny Market & Pavilion Park , 715 W 1st Street in Uptown Ankeny.

The Uptown Ankeny Farmer’s Market vendors provide a wide variety of products to the public. In the past, the market has seen everything from fresh seasonal produce, home-made baked goods, specialty food items, BBQ cooked on-site, perennial plants, hand-made items, and much more.

Please join us each week as our vendor’s products change depending on the seasonal produce available and new products.

This market, located at LSI’s Des Moines campus in the Drake neighborhood, has a great laid-back atmosphere. It’s a low traffic area where it’s easy to find a parking spot, and it’s a perfect place to get to know the farmers who grow your food. We also have a corner for kids’ activities, food samples and prepared foods—come try a new food with us! EBT, senior market vouchers and WIC are all accepted.

The first market of 2018 will happen on Tuesday, May 22 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.  The Farmers’ Market will be held every Tuesday afternoon in the City Hall parking lot through early October.  Come check out our brand new vendors and a wide selection of locally-grown produce, beautiful art, household items, garden accessories and delicious baked goods! Come out to our new monthly farmers market the first Saturday of each month May through October.  Shop from local farms, growers, bakeries and artists.
