Grimes is a Tree City with beautiful parks and trails! Volunteer to plant trees or clean our community. Education about proper tree planting techniques and maintenance will occur. This is a great event for a family or group service project!
Volunteers may choose to assist with tree planting or community clean-up activities.
Tree Planting-
20-25 trees will be planted
Please bring gloves, rake, and shovel, if able. Shoes or work boots (no sandals) are recommended. Refreshments will be served after planting is completed.
Parks/Trails Clean-up-
Select a park or area of trail to adopt for the day by picking up trash. City will provide trash bags and plastic gloves.
