Small Group Horse Drawn Wagon Ride

Come out to Jester Park Equestrian Center and enjoy a fun group or family outing as a team of draft horses pull your open wagon down the beautiful timber trails of Jester Park. Horse Drawn Wagon Rides are group rides, taking out up to 22 people on the wagon at a time. Wagon Rides are great for family outings, groups of friends, clubs, and promoting the of meeting other members of the community.

Horse Drawn Wagon Rides are great for all ages. Children 2 and under are free as long as they sit on the lap of an adult. Riders who may require additional support getting into the wagon (ie: wheel chairs) a ramp is available upon request.

Need to Know

• Wagon Rides are approx. 45 minutes through the trails of Jester Park and are weather dependent.
• In the event we must cancel rides due to weather, you will be offered an opportunity to rebook your ride or receive a full refund.
• Wagon Rides are scheduled on the hour and the first 10 minutes are reserved for group check in. Rides depart promptly at 10-minutes after the hour.
• All Wagon Rides require a reservation at minimum 24 hours in advance.
• All participants must complete an Equine Release Agreement.
• For parties larger than 15 persons, please contact us at JPEC_info@polkcountyiowa.gov for scheduling opportunities.
• Hand-held snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome on the wagon ride. In the event of cooler weather, riders are welcome to bring blankets!
• Dogs and other small animals are NOT permitted on the wagon ride. Service animals with current identification are permitted.

Party Size Pricing Information

• Parties of 1-5 riders are $50
• Parties of 6-10 riders are $100
• Parties of 11-15 riders are $150 (Parties of this size will end up being private due to the full wagon)
• Parties of 16-20 riders are $200 (Parties of this size will end up being private due to the full wagon)
• Children under 2 years old are free, however they will be asked to sit on an adult’s lap. If you expect your child will want to sit on their own, please include them in your party count.
