While there check out all the cool stuff they have going on, like the arcade and their Junior Roller Derby Program. If you’re looking for a cheap night out with the fam, Wednesday night is Buck Night – $1.00 Admission, $1.00 Roller Skate Rental.

Rockin and rollin on the southside Skate South brings the family fun with cool floor lighting, a jammin DJ and more. They host birthday parties and they’re sporting classes for Roller Hockey, Roller Derby and Speed Skating. Concessions, arcade and a bounce house round out the adventure.

Last and nowhere near least, is Skate West in West Des Moines. Not only are they a roller rink with great music and a live DJ, they also have a giant play zone with a ball pit. Families skate on Fridays from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for $6.00 per person or $20.00 for up to five members of your family. There’s also awesomely cheap Dollar Night on Wednesday nights.
