2016 Kidsfest! – Kids Helping Kids!

Take your kids for an entertaining family outing and help other kids at the same time!  Children and Families of Iowa’s Kidsfest! 2016 is on Friday, March 4th 6:00 to 9:00 pm; Saturday, March 5th 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, March 6th at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Iowa State Fairgrounds’ Varied Industries Building.

Kidsfest! is about fun and restoring hope for Iowa’s families.  The festival will feature great attractions and help at-risk families in Iowa. Tickets are $7.50 per person, per day (kids under age one are FREE).  Tickets will be sold at the door throughout the weekend.  Discount coupons are available at Des Moines area Fareway Stores and Veridian Credit Unions.

dsm4kids is delighted to be exhibiting at this year’s event! We will have a few FREEbies to give away and are excited to have a fun photo booth for the kiddos.  We will be asking attendees to write signs that they’re a Des Moines (or their hometown) kid. So, get those creative juices flowing, so you can tell us what makes you a Des Moines kid!

Kidsfest!, as it’s name implies, is a kid-centered festival full of fun activities, games and entertainment for the littles and their families. The festival features live performances on the Kidsfest! stage including a performance by the String Beans on Saturday.  The Iowa League of Heroes, Princesses and Dbs Turtles will also be in attendance and the first 100 visitors each day will receive tickets to attend a private party with one of them.

In addition, there will be a Wells Fargo Fingerprinting ID Station, Game Truck, inflatables, “Hairy Tales” by the Iowa School of Beauty, Kidsfest Klues Hunt, craft area, toddler town, concessions and much, much more!
