Climb Iowa is Iowa's largest indoor climbing and training facility.
Climb Iowa offers several youth programs including Youth Adventure Climbing Teams (recreational and competitive) and holiday and summer camps. It’s also a great place to host a fun and unique birthday party.
Our facility offers a wide variety of summer programs consisting of lap swim, water aerobics, swim lessons,special events and more!
The aquatic center features lazy river. Full sized pool that boasts a drop slide, two water slides, basketball hoops, and a 1-meter spring board. The aquatic center also has a zero depth entry pool, spray features, a large play structure and a children's slide.

The Parks and Recreation Department currently maintains 15 parks and the Clive Aquatic Center and Greenbelt Park and Trail. The trail is open for use year-round as snow is removed from portions of the trail during winter months. The Clive Aquatic Center is an outdoor facility open during the summer. Features of the Aquatic Center include a zero-depth entry leisure pool, a Lazy River, six-lane lap pool and three water slides along with a one-meter board. The Department also plans and manages a wide range of recreation programs for all age groups from preschoolers to active older adults.
The Dallas County Fairgrounds located in Adel is the home of the Dallas County Motor Speedway. This dirt oval track features Front Wheel Drive, Pro Stock, Hobby Stock, Cruiser, Truck, Outlaw, Vintage Sprint and Open classes. Racing takes place every other Saturday, April through August. The Des Moines Buccaneers are a Tier 1 junior ice hockey team of the United States Hockey League (USHL). They play at Buccaneer Arena in Urbandale, IA.
The Des Moines Buccaneers are proud supporters and home to youth hockey in the Des Moines area. We enjoy teaching and watching these young kids grow up into great hockey players. Every once in a while we are lucky enough to welcome a local kid on the Des Moines Buccaneers roster. Youth hockey teams have been a big part in Buccaneers intermission entertainment and will continue to be this season.
Community Education is an opportunity for local citizens and community schools, agencies and institutions to become active partners in addressing education and community concerns.

The centerpiece of this beautiful park on the southside of Des Moines is its 172-acre lake. Five picnic shelters and three children's playgrounds overlook the lake. A boat ramp provides access for anglers trying to catch the walleye, bass, and catfish stocked by the Conservation Board into the lake every year. During the summer, a swimming beach provide another wonderful way to enjoy the lake.
