Business Description: Since 2010, we’ve helped countless people just like you to find the piano and guitar lessons they need so their children can learn to play an instrument.
Our curriculum is fully accredited by the ACS WASC for grades 1-12 music education, both in-person and online programs, meaning you can trust our process. Every new student begins with a free trial lesson to get to know us and what to expect before signing up
Why do we utilize group lessons? Almost nothing else is learned alone—not sports, not the arts, not academics. Then why piano and guitar? We believe students quit piano and guitar too soon because they're isolated and unengaged. Our group lessons solve all that, bringing students together to challenge and inspire one another.
Outside of our standard guitar and piano lessons, we offer plenty of extra activities for our students and pack our summer calendar full of camps and other opportunities. We love watching our students grow and try new things all year long.
The goals of CIML are twofold:
To give a student enough musical skills to creatively interact with other musicians.
To incorporate computer and Internet technology into each student’s lessons to help accelerate the learning process.
Private Music Lessons: Music lessons at Central Iowa Music Lab (CIML) are in session year round. Lessons are available to all ages and levels, and no prior experience or auditions are required. Instruction is available for Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums/Percussion, Piano, Violin, Voice, Rock Band, Songwriting, and Music Theory.
The Des Moines Symphony Orchestra is Central Iowa’s largest and most active year-round professional performing arts producing organization. The mission of the Des Moines Symphony Association is to enrich, educate and inspire our community by performing great orchestral music.
The Des Moines Symphony Academy is pleased to call The Temple for Performing Arts its home. The Symphony Academy celebrated its grand opening on September 8, 2003, beginning its mission to provide the very best music education experiences for musicians of all ages. The Symphony Academy’s facility includes eight private teaching studios and two performance halls, and it is the home of the Des Moines Symphony Youth Orchestras and the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra’s extensive music library.
Girls Rock! Des Moines’ Summer Rock Camp is a two-week-long empowering music program that offers band formation and rehearsal, individual instrument instruction, educational workshops and classes, visiting artist performances, and an exciting showcase at the end of camp.
Our program is open to any cis-girl, gender-expansive, nonbinary, or trans youth between the ages of 8-18 / No musical experience needed / Financial support is always available!

Marjorie Reynolds is a professional solo violinist, violist, and electric violinist. She has been performing since 1972, with experience from orchestra concertmaster to backup player for such popular entertainers as Bob Hope, Henry Mancini, and Gladys Knight and the Pips. Marjorie's Violin Studio is available for performing any style of music at special occasions and background music for events.
Marjorie Reynolds is a certified violin, viola, and electric violin teacher, since 1982, for studios, public, and private schools. Marjorie's Violin Studio is available for teaching lessons for all children and adults. Any age can learn - Suzuki, traditional, fiddle, or popular music throughout the centuries.
