Trick-or-Treat with First Responders @ Johnston Fire station 38

The Johnston Police and Fire Departments will be handing out treats from their squad cars and fire trucks and will also talk about “safety” when going out on Beggars’ Night. Children are encouraed to wear their Halloween costume because the Police and Fire Chiefs will be voting on the best dressed child!

The Great Pumpkin Party is coming! You don’t want to miss this party thrown BY Valley Church FOR our community! Invite your friends and family to the best party of the fall. Wear your non-scary costumes and enjoy giant inflatables, pony rides, carnival games, free popcorn, and more! Plus the Iowa League of Heroes is back and the princesses are joining them!

With nearly 6,000 guests last year, The Great Pumpkin Party is Des Moines’ best family activity this fall. It’s totally free and primarily indoors (so don’t worry about the weather)! Everyone is welcome!

Join us Wednesday, October 23, for a family-friendly evening! Walk from trunk to trunk trick-or-treating; and have fun, pumpkin painting, and other activities.

Wear your favorite costume!
Come for free candy!
Stay for spooky fun!

Rain or shine! All activities will be available inside the church if inclement weather is expected. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Community Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night @ Homemakers

Take part in a 32-year old tradition at Living History Farms – Family Halloween! Families are welcomed into the 1875 town of Walnut Hill to enjoy safe, non-scary trick-or-treating at our historic businesses, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, and listen to enchanting storytellers. Try your hand at pumpkin bowling, witch broom races, and a scarecrow relay. Enter photos of you, your family, or your dog dressed up at the Farms into our new costume contest and you could win a prize! Living History Farms offers “teal pumpkins” stops for trick-or-treaters with allergies. Save money when you get your tickets in advance online.

Urbandale Police Department Trunk or Treat! @ Urbandale Police Department

Calling all the little ghouls and goblins! This “FREE” community event will allow kids a safe and fun trick or treating experience. A Halloween trail, dance party and other planned activities will be provided by the Urbandale Police Department and local business from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Halloween Event! @ Bass Pro Shops

Haunted Library Lock-In @ Altoona Public Library

Halloween Haunted House @ Centennial Park Enclosed Shelter

The Waukee Park Board sponsors an annual haunted house.
Enter if you dare, but be prepared to be scared. This haunted house is not suggested for young children.

The entire Indianola square will be filled with fun Halloween activities. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costume and parade around the square!
