All individuals with special needs and their families, chaperones, respite providers or SCL workers are invited to attend this fun evening filled with great music, dancing and refreshments!
March 24-26 at 3:30 to 6:00 pm
Do YOU have what it takes to be a first-class babysitter? In this class presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach you will learn your responsibilities as a babysitter, what parents expect of you, how to care for infants and young children, age-appropriate activities, safety, and how to handle emergencies. Open to boys and girls in 5th grade and above. The registration fee includes a workbook, childcare resources, and snack. Participants who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of participation. Each participant needs to bring a baby doll and a children’s toy for use in class.
For students in 5th grade and older.
On Wednesday, March 25 students have the option of arriving at 2:30pm following early dismissal; formal instruction will not begin until 3:30pm.
Non-4-H members must complete a 4-H medical form and bring it to the first day of the Babysitting Clinic. The form can be downloaded from the registration page of our website.
When the sun goes down, the FUN begins! Participants need to dress for the weather, and bring their own flashlight and a sack or basket for eggs. Gather as many eggs as you can find, then open them up to find out whether they hold candy or prizes from our amazing sponsors. Hunt will begin promptly at 8:15 pm.
