The Des Moines Lapidary Society Annual Gem, Jewelry, Mineral & Fossil Show provides a great opportunity to learn about and celebrate the wonders nature has created under our feet — an interesting and colorful combination of geology and art. This event is family friendly, with activities, speakers, demonstrations, displays, and much more to see. The show includes the Central Iowa Mineral Society bringing great knowledge of geology and the ability to identify minerals and fossils. What is ‘lapidary?’ The arts of cutting stone — large and small. Come! You will be amazed!
