Earth Day Trash Bash 2018

Volunteers are needed for Iowa’s largest Earth Day cleanup event on Friday, April 20. Last year, we had 1,700 volunteers remove over 80,000 pounds of litter, brush, tires and recyclables while beautifying our public lands, cleaning up our waterways, clearing away invasive species, creating new trails and more. Join the effort this year!  Register through March 30.

Schedule of Events

• 12:00-1:00 Kick-Off Bash/Team Rally (Cowles Commons, 221 Walnut St.)
  Gather your team for food, music, educational booths
• 1:00-1:30 Commute to Assigned Site, Group Photo & Safety Talk
• 1:30-4:30 Earth Day Volunteer Projects (Greater Des Moines Metro Area)
• 4:30-5:00 Clean-up, Collect Tools/Supplies, Post-Project Photos & Award Submissions
