If you are looking for meaningful ways to experience art with the kids in your life, mark your calendar for the Des Moines Art Center’s bi-annual event, Entirely Kids Day! During this free community event, the whole museum turns its focus to engaging with children and their families, offering hands-on art activities, scavenger hunts, snacks, and kid-friendly entertainment.

“It’s an opportunity for kids to have fun at the Art Center and enjoy the experience of art,” according to 10-year-old Entirely Kids Day participant Alma. Her mother, Inbal, adding, “This event enables families to interact with art and each other, without having to limit children’s natural instincts. The staff and volunteers greet and interact with everyone with enthusiasm.”
