The Bennett School was one of the last one-room schools to be built in West Des Moines and served students until 1941. Goldie’s Kids Club members will tour the school and learn what classes were like for kids their age “way back when.” So register today – and be there before the bell rings!

Ready to explore Iowa’s most famous building? Goldie’s Kids Club members will enjoy a guided tour to see the legislative chambers, peek into the old Iowa Supreme Court, and climb (and climb and climb!) the stairs for a breathtaking view from the dome.
This program is for children 8-12 years old and current members of Goldie’s Kids Club. Not a member? It’s free to sign up. All participants must register online in advance, and each child must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
