Looking for a fun, FREE night out with the family? Family Fun Night at Valley West Mall is a night full of jumping, crafts and more. A couple of months ago, my daughter and I attended Valley West’s Family Fun Night for the first time. We had an open Tuesday night all to ourselves, so we thought we would check it out. The fun takes place on the lower lever of the mall, which transforms into a mecca of bounce houses and activities for kids.
I didn’t know quite what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun we both had. My six year old daughter darted from one activity to another and I just followed along letting her set her own agenda for the evening. She bounced on every inflatable that TJ Party Rentals had set-up. I was able to hang back and relax, since there was an adult monitor at each inflatable. For once I didn’t have to be the bad guy telling her it’s time to move on!
She was ecstatic to bring home a craft she made at the Apple Tree activities table and a balloon dog created by magician Johnathan May. And, she especially loved posing with her favorite princesses. The fun promptly ended at 8:00 pm, giving us just enough time to grab a well-earned treat and a couple of stops at our favorite stores. Altogether a fun FREE night was had by all.
Valley West Mall hosts Family Fun Night, January through October, on the last Tuesday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Kids can enjoy complimentary meet-and-greets with some of their favorite characters, inflatable rides, crafts, balloon animals and temporary tattoos.
The remaining Family Fun Night line-up for 2015 includes:
- Tuesday, July 28th: Rapunzel, Little Mermaid and the Scottish Princess
- Tuesday, August 25th: Super Girl and Captain America
- Tuesday, September 29th: Arabian Princess, Snow White and the Ice Princess
- Tuesday, October 27th: Trick or Treat Night at the Mall
Throughout the year, Valley West Mall offers parents and caregivers kid-friendly programs, special events and special sales events. These include their Family Fun Nights, their annual trick or treat night and a variety of community programs. They also offer family amenities and services, such as family friendly dining options, Enchanted Kingdom Play Center for kids, family restrooms and stroller rental.
