Support, Education… and FUN
The Children’s Cancer Connection is an organization that is dedicated to making the battle easier. They offer support, education, and recreational programs like camps and retreats, designed to support the entire family through the entire journey at little-to-no cost for the families. They currently serve more than 500 children and their families throughout Iowa. That’s amazing!
Greenland Homes Donating Proceeds to Children’s Cancer Connection
To help the Children’s Cancer Connection serve these children and their families, Greenland Homes and Tammy Heckart, Realtor at Iowa Realty, have been dedicating the proceeds of one new construction home each year for the past 5 years. Even their suppliers and vendors are getting involved by selling materials and services at cost so Tammy and Greenland Homes can raise more for the cause.
Corey Kautz, Greenland Homes founder, said, “I love to see the entire team’s involvement and enthusiasm, in addition to the generosity of all of our suppliers and contractors; it is an amazing gift to such a great cause. We do it for the kids!”

Since 2012, Tammy and Greenland Homes have donated over $300,000 to support programs and services at the Children’s Cancer Connection. This year is their fifth build and they’re excited to announce that it’s finished and ready for a new owner!
Meet Kalvyn – Cancer Warrior & Home Inspector
The Children’s Cancer Connection is involved in the building process with Greenland Homes. They even send over cancer warriors, like Kalvyn, to inspect the home and make sure it’s moving along as planned. Kalvyn has been involved since day one! Which includes being the first person to break ground in an excavator at the ground breaking ceremony:

Greenland Homes is excited to show off the 2018 Charity Home and is already getting positive feedback on the new floorplan and the home’s location. It’s located at Trestle Crossing in Ankeny near a bike path, Saylorville Lake, and Jester Park. The Charity Home is looking for a family to call it home!
