This popular licensed home bakery is known for their cheesecakes and pies but offer up other sweet treats including decorated sugar cookies and classic cookies. Cha Cha’s also has DIY cookie kits available and hosts cookie decorating classes in conjunction with other local businesses. Place your cookie order on-line before they’re booked for the season!
Clearly Yummy
Clearly Yummy makes delicious homemade cookies and caramels in tons of flavor options including classics like chocolate chip, snickerdoodles, and red velvet cream cheese cookies. You can find Clearly Yummy out and about at local events or you can email, message or phone them to place an order for pick up. There is a one dozen minimum required for each flavor of cookies ordered.
Eileen’s Colossal Cookies
This time of year, families can dig into Eileens signature holiday “cookie cakes”. Located in the Apple Valley Shopping Center in Windsor Heights, Eileen’s Cookies are decorated sugar cookies, cookie “cakes”, and 13 of your favorite flavors sold daily by the dozen(s) or singles. Stop by their store in person, give them a call or order through DoorDash for delivery.
Hello Cookie
Hello Cookie, is a home-based bakery specializing in decorated sugar cookies and DIY cookie kits in Ankeny. For this year’s Christmas DIY kits, they will have two options available for preorder! A winter wonderland theme and a traditional Christmas theme. Pre-orders must be made by November 30, 2022. Hello Cookie also makes custom sugar cookies for all your celebrations year-round.
Iowa Cookie Company
The Iowa Cookie Company bakes dozens of varieties of inventive cookies flavors and placing an order with them is a little like winning the lottery. The bakery takes orders every Friday at 6:00 pm until they’re sold out, so mark your calendars accordingly. Still, these BIG cookies, every cookie is six ounces and wrapped individually, are well worth the effort of placing an order.
Miss Mae’s Mobile Bakery
A mobile dessert trailer based out of Indianola you can find Miss Mae’s at events throughout central Iowa and at their home location in the Prole, IA Post Office parking lot. They have a rotating menu of seasonal baked goods, including cookies. And, you don’t need to track them down to place an order, you can give them a call or message or comment on their Facebook Page.
Prairie Rose Desserts
With a trained pastry chef at the helm, Prairie Rose Desserts offers up indulgent desserts including decorated sugar cookies, drop cookies and THE most decadent macarons.
