Pregnant or have a child under the age of 1 year? Need resources for your growing family? This FREE event is for you! Free lunch for the first 200 people, and free swag bags for new and expecting families at registration. Enjoy fun kids’ activities, music, prizes – and take home free baby supplies, fruits, vegetables, and more! Visit with a nurse and get free iron and blood pressure checks. Get connected to resources like WIC, Hawki (low-cost or free health insurance), transportation and doula services. You’ll learn how to stay healthy before, during and after pregnancy – and how to navigate your health and your baby’s health when talking to doctors or providers.

Need a ride to the event? Thanks to our friends at DART, you can ride to Baby Bloom for FREE! On April 20, use your phone to bring up the QR code found at www.everystep.org/baby-bloom. As you board the bus, scan the QR code on the farebox and you’ll free ride at no cost. The QR code will need to be scanned for each adult in your group. Offer is valid for all fixed routes on April 20, 2024 only. Valley West Mall is located on DART Local Routes 3, 52 and 72. Baby Bloom is hosted by the Healthy Start Community Action Network, a Central Iowa collaboration of organizations, agencies, programs and individuals which connect providers, caregivers, parents and other community members with education and best practices to care for families.
